We are hiring highly motivated and energetic students for 2023 Spring/Fall. At MSU, you will get exposed to a variety of research topics and techniques, as well as collaboration opportunities.

Ph.D. Students:
We have openings for PhD students with full assistantship/scholarship in the areas:
- Virtual Design & Construction (VDC): VDC projects, techniques, and team collaboration in the virtual environment. Expected computing skills: Revit, VBA, R, and SPSS.
- Social Network Analysis: Network theory and network modeling and analytics, data science. Expected skills: R, Python, UCINet, Gephi.
- Green Building: Building energy retrofit, building energy modeling, occupant behavior modeling. Expected skills: EnergyPlus, energy simulation, crowd simulation, agent-based modeling, CFD.
- Smart Buildings: Data sensing and analytics, data science, BIM/VDC, and machine learning. Expected skills: R, Python, SQL, IoT, AIoT sensing.

Undergraduate REU Students:
We have several openings to support REU students with their research (for students in the U.S. only). We encourage UG to align their work with MSU’s University Undergraduate Research and Arts Forum (UURAF) and consider to participate in.
